Hand-painted in the glorious Imari style in a palette of cobalt blue, browns and orange on a white background with lavish highlights in gold.
In excellent original condition with no cracks, chips or repairs.
The reverse bears the red Davenport Longport back stamps, a handwritten pattern number and painter's marks.
Davenport Pottery was an English earthenware and porcelain manufacturer based in Longport, Staffordshire. It was in business, owned and run by the Davenport family, between 1794 and 1887, making mostly table wares in the main types of Staffordshire pottery.
