Ce pistolet a été fabriqué sous le règne de Louis XVI, durant les années précédant les guerres napoléoniennes et au milieu de la guerre d'indépendance américaine (1775-1783). La platine est estampillée d'une couronne surmontant la lettre L, indiquant le règne de Louis XV (1754-1793).

Fusil entièrement en fer, calibre .75, canon de 7 pouces et demi, poinçons officiels divers. Platine marquée « St Etienne » avec couronne surmontant le poinçon « L ». Année de fabrication du canon : 1780. Les pièces en laiton sont en excellent état.

Longueur totale : 33 cm (13 pouces) Longueur du canon : 19 cm (7,48 pouces)
Calibre : 17,1 mm ; Poids : 1,4 kg ; Année : 1780

Le crochet de ceinture en acier est manquant, ce qui est assez fréquent sur ce modèle. Ce pistolet à silex est plutôt rare.
Ce type de pistolet à silex de gros calibre était porté par l'infanterie, le personnel naval et les officiers de cavalerie français durant les campagnes napoléoniennes de la fin du XVIIIe et du début du XIXe siècle, notamment lors de la bataille de Waterloo.
Il s'agit de l'un des pistolets militaires français les plus difficiles à trouver.

International (Asia) returns will need to be arranged by the customer, and will require a tracking number.

Any refund or exchange will only be issued once the original item has been shipped back to us.
